Series final COVER REVEAL

Patched Together is coming soon!

The Together series wraps up with Patched Together, releasing Sept. 1 through Mt. Zion Ridge Press. As with Pressed Together (book one) and Packed Together (book two), my very talented former student Addie Stewart designed the cover art for this historical romance set in the years just after WW2.

I’m excited for you to read this final book in the series because I’m hoping you’ll love Dottie Berkeley as much as I do. I admit, I didn’t present you with a very loveable version of Emily and Rosie Graham’s long-time bestie in the first two books; Dottie, who runs Buckeye Lake’s historic amusement park and ballrooms for her father, has been very practical and business-driven so far. But something awful happens at the start of Patched Together that turns the lake’s “princess” into a powerless outcast. Humbled and wrestling with guilt and shame, Dottie takes to hiding (and still working rather hard) on Smokey Black’s holiday farm. Now, he’s faced with helping her merge the woman she has been with the one she is now … someone he’s always respected but might now be falling for at the worst possible time.

Look forward to being part of the pumpkin patch and Christmas tree cycle from planting to harvest on Smokey’s quirky little farm, even as a new ballroom opens on the pier. I hope the magic somehow warms you up a little in any season!

Personally, I “get” Dottie in that she’s very action-oriented, often to her own detriment. It’s been a healthy journey for me to slow the woman down and help remind her not to get things quite so out of order in life.

Oh, and I also enjoyed getting to weave the lives of Emily and Drew, Rosie and Gabe, Lillian, Charlie and Delia, and the rest of the former cast of characters into Dottie’s and Smokey’s story. They all feel like old friends to me now, and wow, it occurs to me how much I’ll miss them as the series draws to an end!

Anyway, I believe the audio recording is underway, and I should have a pre-order link for Patched Together in paperback, eBook, or audio in the coming weeks. Meanwhile … here’s the cover!
